Locations:                                                                                                                                Williamsburg office close to L & G trains, ferry and bus lines.

Fees:                                                                                                                                                             Individual Therapy: $200

Insurance:
I provide therapy services as an out-of-network provider.  Often sessions are covered in part by your insurance company.  I encourage you to ask your insurance company about your mental health/behavioral health coverage with an out of network provider.

Some helpful questions for your insurance provider:

  • Do I have mental health insurance benefits that allow for out-of-network services?
  • Is there a deductible, and how much has been met?
  • How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
  • Does my insurance require that I have preauthorization prior to sessions with a therapist?  (If so, it is your responsibility to have that information prior to our first session).

If you wish to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement, I will provide you with a detailed bill with all of the required information on it.  I am happy to assist you in this process.

Reduced Fee:
Reduced fee services are available on an individual and as-needed basis. Let me know if you would like to discuss a sliding scale fee.

Insurance accepted:                                                                                                                                           I currently accept Blue Cross/Blue Shield Insurance.  Please check with your member services to confirm that I am listed as a participating provider.

Good Faith Estimate:                                                                                                                                        You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers and health care facilities are required to inform individuals who are not enrolled in a plan or coverage or a Federal health care program, or not seeking to file a claim with their plan or coverage both orally and in writing of their ability, upon request or at the time of scheduling health care items and services, to receive a GFE of expected charges. I will provide this GFE to you upon scheduling your first session, and annually as needed.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.  You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services.

You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit:  www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800) 368-1019

Cancellation Policy:
If possible, I will make every effort to reschedule cancelled appointments within the same week.  I ask that you notify me about a cancelled session at least 48 hours in advance, or you will be expected to pay the full cost of the session.
